Super Conqueror

The other day while I was doing my devotions I came across this scripture… Romans 8:37 and honestly the version I like the most is the CJB because it tells me that I am more than something but also that I am able to do this super.

Romans 8:37 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)
“No, in all these things we are superconquerors, through the one who has loved us.”

It is not on my strength that I do anything, Notice the words “through the one who has loved us” that is not on my strength but I still become a superconqueror. Because of Jesus and His love for me an the Fathers love for me and Holy Spirits love for me.

Superconqueror does not mean that I am all alone in some place fighting off demons or other things. I am not alone fighting I am with the one who loves me, and I would guess He is doing the fighting and I am only doing what He tells me to do… Thereby making me a superconqueror. God is so good to us that we are able to conqueror all kinds of things because of His love for us.

Most days, in honesty I blow it. But “that’s ok” says the Father, “you are getting better” He reassures me. I have so many struggles that it is hard at times to fully grasp being a conqueror let alone a superconqueror. So, if you are like me and blow it be sure to go to the Father and crawl into His arms and let Him know that yeah, I blew it again. Don’t give up because we all win!!

So, what are you struggling with today? Are you fighting all alone or is God your primary general and you are taking your orders from Him and Him only. If taking your orders from Him than you will win. If doing thing on your own has not worked try to surrender to the Lord. He will be glad to let you rest and yet keep moving. Be blessed this day.

About leftnfree

I am a flawed Christian who loves Jesus more than anything. Originally from the east coast of the US (Philadelphia, Pa). Currently living in Az. I am a single female who has no children. I do have a bunch of nieces and nephews. I do love to dance, swim, sing, travel, and play. I love dogs and am allergic to cats an sulfa. I don't drink or do street drugs or abuse prescription drugs. I love the USA and am ashamed of some of the folks that are running the show in DC (both parties). Personally, I don't think that our founding fathers intended for the service of our members of congress was supposed to be a life long job. I think that they meant for it to be short term. I love all kinds of movies but classics are becoming my favorite more and more. I do not like much of what is on television today because the world of make believe "reality tv" is unreal, and the rest well I just don't like the animation programs either. I love Jesus and try to serve Him with all I am becoming more an more like Him daily. I may stumble and I may make a mistake but I can always count on the loving arms of my Jesus and my Heavenly Father to come pick me up again and help me stand. I am not afraid of trying or failing but I am afraid of bragging and doing it on my own. I try to love all people and help all people (sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't). But even in that God is my all an all. That is who I am. Nothing more and nothing less. What you see is what you get. Like I said at the beginning I am flawed. I am human, and while I am not sinless I am able to sin less and help others to learn how to sin less. God is good. I hope that you enjoy reading the things that I write.

  1. Beautiful blog and interesting bio. I taught 5th gr in Philly (Olney Ave and 5th) before teaching GATE in Cheltenham. Way back in my other life. I find your time overseas intriguing. Would you be interested in participating in the Race? Info on my front page.

How sweet you are. Yes, we all stumble and fall and fall short at times, but thanks to God, we can pick ourselves up and move on and hopefully grow from it. I think more and more, people are beginning to see the frailty of our human leadership and rely less and less on them. (Paraphrased) “It is not within [the limited ability of] man [even one at his best] to choose and direct his steps”..Jeremiah 10:23. So to rely on or believe they can is a foible on our part, if that was what we counted on.
